I am newly introduced to fascinating 'blog'. So, question? I can write anything I like on here, right? Well, this is going to be interesting.
Hmm. What to write. What to write?
This is obviously going to be a disaster since I'm really quite tedious. I mean, nothing really riveting occurs in my life. I pretty much live a normal, uneventful life. Wow. I really didn't think I needed a blog to babble on about how I needed a life.
How about I start with books? Thats always a safe place to start with me. Okay, so I'm currently reading a book called 'A Great and Terrible Beauty'. Now, don't let the name discourage you. Its not one of those books about obnoxious, whinny people who think they're fat and want all the riches in the world because they simply can. This book is hardly that. So, its set in the 1800's and sixteen-year-old Gemma Dolye sees things. She has visions of the future and, most troubling, dead people (creepy, huh?). But the most disturbing vision she's had is the one where she saw her mother being murdered. Feeling more isolated than she's ever felt, Gemma moves to London after the tragedy in India. Spence Academy is a elite, sophisticated school for girls to become respectable women and more importantly, desirable wives. But Gemma refuses to believe that that is her destiny, and chooses another path. The path to help. The dead. With her close friends, naming themselves the ancient and mysterious Order, Gemma fights against the life thats been laid out before her.
I haven't finished it, but I'm more than half way and enjoying every bit of it! And, there IS a guy. Yes, because what would a book be without its romance? Haha. His name is Kartik (odd name, no?), and if I do say so myself, he is quite...yummy. (;
And so, there is my first ever blog. *satisfied sigh* That was liberating.
Until then,
Mel
